Singing from Quarantine

Our wonderful Joyous Choir members have continued to sing together and support each other throughout the lockdown via WhatsApp and we are very pleased to be able to share this lovely video, made by MIN Volunteer Hadi Jafarizadeh, of them singing one of their favourite songs ‘Bella Ciao’ together 💕🎶 we hope you enjoy!

Big thanks to JMATrust for their ongoing support for the Choir, to Hadi for all his hard work in producing the video and to all our Joyous Choir members for taking part 💜

Integration Networks Letter to the Secretary of State

MIN and our colleagues from Integration Networks across Glasgow at Govan Commnity Project, South East Integration Network, Cranhill Development Trust and North Glasgow Integration Network, have written to the Secretary of State Priti Patel asking for an urgent investigation into the decions taken to move members of the asylum seeking community to hotel accommodation during the Covid-19 lockdown.

In the letter we echo the concerns of Scottish Refugee Council and others regarding a number of isses including the communication people receive before being moved and the safety of people placed in hotels. Here is the letter in full for your information.
