mIN is a registered charity that has been working in Glasgow for over 10 years. It aims to bring different communities together and to promote integration through a varied and needs-led programme of activities and services. Originally focusing on asylum seekers and refugees in Maryhill, we now work city-wide and with other migrants and the BME communities.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our work with the growing numbers of asylum seekers and migrants arriving in Glasgow. In the current austerity climate of reduced funding, we would particularly welcome people with an interest in helping with fund raising/income generation, arts activities, publicity and who have business skills.
Work with us offers a practical and enjoyable expression of your interest in migration and human rights issues.
Please contact email@example.com for more information or to submit an expression of interest.
mIN has a variety of opportunities to volunteer with our groups or within the organisation. From small tasks such as delivering Newsletters to bigger commitments such as being on the Management Committee and facilitating groups, mIN could not do all the work without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Please contact us at the office to discuss volunteering with us further and to check on what opportunities are currently available.
mIN has had many students in placement or volunteering positions over the years and if you are interested in a placement with us please email the office at firstname.lastname@example.org with details of why you would like to have a placement at mIN, the requirements of your placement, what skills you can offer and what areas of work you are interested in. We have a Student Placement Policy which we can discuss with you further when you contact the office.
