mIN is proud to present our latest short film that shows the making of the Many Hands Community Garden, from inception to the launch party. Our thanks go to all the many hands that helped and took part!
Interested in gardening or keen to learn? Then why not come along to mIN’s Gardening Club!
The Club was started this Summer as a result of the creation of the Community Garden and we are looking for volunteers to help support the growing of herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers as well as the general maintenance of the space.
The Club meets on Fridays from 11am-1pm and all are welcome.
For more information please contact the Office or email our Development Worker Rose via email@example.com
mIN launched the Community Garden project at Avenuepark Street with a fantastic Garden Party in June during Refugee Week and this is coming along wonderfully with many flowers, fruit, veg and herbs flourishing in the planters built by the members of the Men’s Drop in.
We are currently running a competition through our Facebook page to name the Garden, the closing date is Friday 6th September, so we will be announcing the new name very soon!
This is a lovely community space that we plan to develop into a hub of outdoor activities for not only the groups and organisations within the Maryhill Community Centre but also the wider Maryhill community. If you have any groups who may be interested in using the space or are interested in joining the Garden Club or volunteering please get in touch.
With funding and support from Forestry Commission Scotland, Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS, Glasgow Life, Open Spaces, Stalled Spaces, the Climate Change Fund, Glasgow Community Safety Services, Keep Scotland Beautiful and Tesco Maryhill.
