MIN’s Joyous Choir were the subject of this wonderful video made by students from the 2019 Documentary Production Course at the University of Stirling. We think the video gives great insight into the individual stories of members of the Choir and how being part of the Choir helps them to have a sense of belonging. You can catch the next Joyous Choir performance in Maryhill Park on Sunday 9th June at the Friends of Maryhill Park Summer Fair.
MIN’s Joyous Choir and the Colours of Life International Dancers will be performing once more at this year’s Moving Minds event at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Saturday 25th May 2019. Join us at the event for our performances and stalls including henna painting, hand massage and knitting with the Knit for Unity: Across the Globe group from 11am.
MIN will be closed from 6pm on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 and all day Thursday 23rd May due to Maryhill Community Centre being used as a Polling Station, this means there will be NO Family Nest or Youth Group on Wednesday and NO Oasis Women’s Group or Joyous Choir on Thursday. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, activities will return as normal the following week.
Our Joyous Choir returns to Thursday evenings from tonight, come and join them from 5.30 – 7.30pm. You can find out more about what being part of the Choir means to the members in this video below that featured as part of an article published by The Sunday Post in December 2018.

Joyous Choir fortnightly rehearsals start tonight, 16th January, at the new time of 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
Thanks to generous donations from the community, our Joyous Choir has raised enough money for a few more rehearsals. We are still a long way from reaching our target though so please donate if you can and share our fundraising page.
