‘Iranian Ancient’ Exhibition at Maryhill Burgh Halls

Glasgow based artist and mIN member Paria Goodarzi presents ‘Iranian Ancient’, an exhibition of seven batik textile works taken from the artists own personal experience and cultural influences.

Paria embraces a passion for colour and textiles and each artwork incorporates a simplified symbol of ancient Iran that is condensed to reflect the constraints imposed during certain periods of the country’s history.

The exhibition was launched at The Arches as part of the Refugee Scotland Festival, supported by mIN, AlbScott and the Scottish Refugee Council, and opened at Maryhill Burgh Halls on 1st August by Patrick Grady MP and will be on display until 5th September 2015.
